Intelligent Cultural Resources Information Management
Our goals are:
-
to connect the information silos of different cultural heritage organizations – museums, superintendencies, environmental and architectural heritage organizations – and let them talk to each other;
-
to extend the concept of information resources to text documents, tabular data, records and media, allowing for contextualization of information;
-
to make these information resources accessible, searchable, re-usable and interchangeable via the internet, even allowing ad-hoc aggregation of resources from different hosters across a loosely coupled or federated system of servers;
And finally:
-
to allow free and unlimited participation for everyone as long as the GNU spirit is preserved.
On these pages you will find projects, ideas, documents, specifications – all developed under a FLOSS license –, use cases and so on, which provide or discuss the building blocks for a general framework. Explore!
